David Rowed | Pursuit of Passions

"Neurosurgery is not just a profession, it's a calling. I knew from the moment I began postgraduate training that this was what I was meant to do. The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of my patients is what drives me, and I consider it a true honor and privilege to have pursued this passion throughout my career."

Dr. David Rowed is a man of many passions, but none captured his heart like neurosurgery. He discovered this passion during his post-graduate training and quickly realized his temperament was suited for surgery.

While pursuing his passion, David's life was impacted in numerous ways and he was able to change the lives of many patients. He passed his knowledge and experiences to his residents, leaving a lasting impact on the medical community.

David's advice for those with a passion is to pursue it wholeheartedly; regretting not pursuing one's passion can be a lifelong burden. David also found new passions in his later years, such as flying Cessna 150 aircraft and sailing, which allowed him to travel to many fascinating destinations.
