Veterans of The Village of Humber Heights

The Village of Humber Heights is home to many of our brave veterans who fought on the front lines and played peacekeeping roles during their Canadian military service. snapd caught up with them and learned their history and stories of their time of duty. Corporal David Cordingley was a wireless electrical mechanic in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Herbert Ward, also of the Royal Canadian Air Force, East Coast Command, serviced aircrafts and armament in England and North Africa. Norman McLeod was a corporal in the Canadian Army, Armored Corps. Bombardier Ronald Smith served with the Royal Canadian Artillery. Gerald Lake was a leading aircraftman, who maintained aircrafts for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Acting Lieutenant Robert Munnings served in the Atlantic and North Russia for the Royal Canadian Navy. Sergeant Peter Scott of the Canadian Army served in Ontario, Indochina, the Gaza Strip, and with NATO in Germany. Captain Robert Fellows served in the Korean War in the Air Force.
